Kenya Field Staff
Catherine Mesianto Lengewa, Chief of Party, has over 10 years experience in public health, capacity strengthening, and behavior change and over 15 years in education. Before joining AED, she was a behavior change communication and training advisor and deputy chief of party for a JSI project. Prior to that, she was a consultant to international and local NGOs and faith-based organizations, the Government of Kenya, and other governments in Africa. She has an undergraduate degree in nutrition, an MA in counseling, and a PhD in behavior change.
George Kahuthia, Program Manager for FP/RH, has provided training, capacity building, and technical assistance in BCC for RH and HIV/AIDS programs for over 25 years. Prior to joining AED, he was with the Centre for African Family Studies, PATH, and Kenya’s National Coordinating Agency for Population and Development. He has an MA in population studies and training in population communication.
Geoffrey Kibet, Finance Officer, worked for Aphia II Western as a grants accountant and as an accountant for World Vision Kenya and Corn Products International. He holds a degree in accounting and is pursuing post-graduate studies.
Lilian Gathoni Nderitu, Administrative Assistant, worked for Equity Bank as a human resource administrative assistant and for the ECTC project in Southern Sudan. She has a BA in home economics and professional training in human resource management.
