C-Change Presents on Capacity Strengthening at HIV Capacity Building Summit in Nairobi

Antje Becker-Benton Presents a Capacity Strengthening Skills Building SessionC-Change attended the first HIV Capacity Building Partners Summit, where Deputy Director Antje Becker-Benton presented: Tailoring Capacity Strengthening Activities to Increase Skills in Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC). Held in Nairobi, March 16-18, and organized by regional networks involved in HIV capacity building initiatives in Eastern and Southern Africa, the summit drew over 200 participants. C-Change also facilitated a skills building session together with Southern African AIDS Trust (SAT) on How to use creative briefs as a tool for SBCC materials development. Participants practiced developing their own creative brief using existing health communication materials.

Capacity Strengthening in Social and Behavior Change CommunicatinThe poster summarizes the project's approach to capacity strengthening for social and behavior change communication andhighlights the components of the C-Change Capacity Strengthening Toolkit (C-Modules, SBCC Framework, SBCC Capacity Assessment Tool, online courses with Ohio University and on USAID"s Global Health e-Learning website, Masters courses at the Center of Excellence at South Africa's University of Witwatersrand etc.).
