Nigeria Field Staff

Thomas Ofem is Chief of Party for C-Change/Nigeria. Thomas has a background in medical sciences and mass communications. He has over 15 years experience managing and implementing behavior change communications programs in adolescent sexuality, maternal & child health, family planning, democracy & governance, and HIV and AIDS. Thomas was project manager of Women in Nigeria’s (WIN) Adolescent Reproductive Health Project and communications lead for the Health Communications Partnership (HCP) project of JHU/CCP and the Family Health International (FHI) GHAIN project, and Project Director of JHPIEGO’s Zamfara-Akwa Ibom state HIV/AIDS project (ZAIHAP). While at FHI, he led the development and implementation of the “Heart- to- Heart” campaign, an HIV counseling and testing branding effort that was adopted by the Nigerian Government as a national response to HCT service demand creation.

Ajoko Desmond Chikwendu is the program communication specialist for C-Change/Nigeria. Desmond served in the Federal Ministry of Health, during which time he coordinated IEC/media materials development as well as BCC activities in the Health Education Unit and National HIV and AIDS and STI control unit. Previously he worked for Pathfinder as BCC Specialist; as a national consultant for BCC/community health in WaterAid-Nigeria; and for the FHI/GHAIN project. His specialty is programming behavior change activities around public health issues including reproductive health, HIV and AIDS, malaria, and water and sanitation. He has experience with training, media and materials development, community mobilization, advocacy for public health program implementation, and qualitative research. He has an MPH.

Seyi Olujimi is the Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist for C-Change/Nigeria. Previously, he worked as senior monitoring & evaluation officer with Management Strategies for Africa. He has over two decades of experience in social and marketing research and M&E. He has worked as staff or consultant to government agencies, private organizations, local and international NGOs in Nigeria. Seyi is a member of Nigeria Market Research Association (NiMRA). He has a BSc in Social Sciences (Economics, Politics and Mass Communication) from the University of Lagos and an MS in Political Science from the University of Ibadan.
