David Wood, Chief of Party, is a health communication professional with over 20 years experience in Asia and Africa. As the former Country Director with BBC World Service Trust in Vietnam, he led the development of a series of innovative radio-based interactive programs on malaria, HIV/AIDS, and prevention of water-borne diseases, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.
C-Change Signs MOU with PIRCOM in Mozambique
PIRCOM and C-Change signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on June 8, 2010 in Maputo, Mozambique that supports USAID’s efforts to control malaria and water-borne diseases.
Over the next two years, with assistance from the President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI), C-Change will partner with PIRCOM, a faith-based organization, to strengthen its organizational capacity to carry out social and behavior change communication.
C-Change Assists SAT Network to Increase SBCC Knowledge and Skills
C-Change led a participatory learning workshop on social and behavior change communication (SBCC) programming with Southern African AIDS Trust (SAT) in January-February 2010. Twenty-three participants from Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe attended the 10-day workshop in Johannesburg, South Africa.
